Jegna — ጀግና
Champions and guardians of the SHAREDMARGIN community. Affiliates who go beyond earnings to genuinely uplift those around them.
More than a word — a way of being
Jegna (ጀግና) is an Amharic word from Ethiopia meaning hero, champion, or guardian — someone who stands up for others, who carries the community forward, who protects and mentors those in their care.
In the SHAREDMARGIN community, a Jegna is an Affiliate who sees their role as more than building a network for earnings. A Jegna actively mentors the people they sponsor, supports them through challenges, celebrates their progress, and embodies the values of integrity and mutual care that SHAREDMARGIN was built on.
Jegnaship is not a rank you purchase or a title conferred automatically. It is a culture — one we believe will grow naturally as SHAREDMARGIN proves itself to be more than a financial opportunity, but a genuine community of people committed to each other's economic dignity.
A consumer movement, not just a cashback programme
SHAREDMARGIN was conceived as more than a financial tool. It is the beginning of a consumer movement — one that grows in meaning and depth as it proves its value to real people in real communities.
A Gradual Culture
Jegnaship is not declared — it grows. As Affiliates experience the genuine value SHAREDMARGIN delivers, the most caring among them will naturally begin to mentor, support, and champion those in their network.
A Sense of Family
We envision SHAREDMARGIN networks where upline Affiliates know the names of the pensioners they sponsor, check in on them, help them understand their dashboard, and celebrate when their credits exceed their spend.
Community Circles
As markets mature, we anticipate local Jegna circles forming — informal gatherings of SHAREDMARGIN Affiliates who support each other, share knowledge, and collectively advocate for fair pricing and quality merchant participation.
Consumer Advocacy
Jegnas will become advocates — not just for SHAREDMARGIN, but for the communities they serve. Advocating for merchants who treat consumers with dignity, for pricing that respects fixed incomes, for commerce that gives back.
Formal Jegna recognition — coming as SHAREDMARGIN grows
SHAREDMARGIN will establish a formal Jegna recognition programme to honour and celebrate those who embody the spirit of Jegnaship. The programme will evolve as the community grows.
